We are a friendly group who love to share our passion for Nordic Walking and helping people to achieve their goals. Nothing make us happier than to see someone learn about Nordic Walking, fall in love with it and then use it hit their personal weight loss or fitness goals.
I firmly believe to be a competent instructor you must have a great love of life, always find something positive to say and be prepared to listen to each client and work with them to achieve their individual goals.
I qualified as a Nordic walking instructor in 2009; since then I have successfully trained over 200 clients to Nordic walk, many are still attending regular weekly walks
As a specialist level 4 fitness instructor I offer Nordic walking for Cardiac Rehab Phase IV, COPD and neurological conditions.

Nordic walking was the perfect exercise for me 4 years ago. It has improved my posture and stamina. And… since then I have made new friends, walked in many different places (and in different weathers) and done my leader training (Nov 15 with Nordic Walking UK). There is nothing better than on a winter’s morning getting ‘out there’ and the summer walking is pretty good, too. With the changing seasons there is always something new to see, so familiar paths are full of interest, as is each combination of people and their views on life and their surroundings.
My name is Sarah Bennison. I have been teaching swimming for 25 years and have always had an interest in keeping myself fit. I have a passion for walking and especially in the delightful countryside we have in Uttlesford. I am a member of Uttlesford Ramblers and also walk with Saffron Walden footpaths association. I have been leading a health walk in Felsted for over 3 years now, which I have demonstrated total commitment to and believe I have the skills necessary to motivate walkers who may need that extra bit of encouragement.
I am looking forward to joining the Nordic walking team because I am convinced that it provides a really good Aerobic workout and also helps people who are recovering from injuries.
I started Nordic walking in Autumn 2012 and have recently trained with Nordic Walking UK as a Community Walk Leader (November 2015).
I thoroughly enjoy Nordic walking. It’s great to be outdoors in all weathers. It’s a sociable way to exercise, but with the flexibility to enable an individual to work at their own level to achieve fitness targets.
For me, the best aspect of Nordic walking is that all year round I’m enjoying walking in our local countryside in the company of like-minded individuals. All to the benefit of our health and wellbeing.
